Welcome to the CRUSH UK update, February 2010
January was a busy month and apart from an embarrassingly poor turn out at the Anchor for the first CRUSH UK of the year, we enjoyed the opening to 2010.

CRUSH UK et al helping Haitian survivors
It was an honour to be asked to help raise funds for survivors of the disaster in Haiti at the Exmouth Pavilion on Friday 22nd January and we would like to say a massive thanks to Jeff Lewis for his selfless endeavour that enabled the benefit concert to go ahead.
Exmouth Shantyman Jeff booked the acts (dozens more wanted to play – thank you all), he also sorted the venue and swept up afterwards ;)
The event raised just over £4000 thanks to an exuberant and generous audience.
This is obviously a mere raindrop in terms of what is required to rebuild lives and infrastructure in Haiti, but it was a great gig and the outstanding performances included sets from: The Chicken Slacks, Paul Strange Quartet, Exmouth Shantymen, Malcolm Horton, Laurie Ward (& The Red Rockers ;), Lara Conley and Chris Woods.
Our punk buddies, The Reoffenders are taking up the baton and alongside Kiss This & El Cojones will be performing for the children of Haiti.
The bands are giving their services free for the evening on Friday 19th February and all monies received will go directly to UNICEF for Haiti's children.

Old Big 'Ed
The Big 'Ed & The Red Rockers gigs at the end of January were great fun, which is the reason the band exists.
We had a blast at the punk night at The Barrel and the next day performed a fabulous array of classic rock n roll, R&B, pop, punk & rock at the First & Last.
Next up is an 80s night at the Barrel on March 13th featuring not one, but two female singers! Not to be missed :)
KatZ get the fur flying
The first BobKatZ gigs of the year at the beginning of February were excellent.
After a seven week rest, we were fired up and despite a few rusty bits, the KatZ were back on form.
We have a few dates left this year having purposely not filled the diary to give us a chance to play more festivals, parties, etc. Well that's the plan anyway :) If you want us, please get in touch asap.
